Aegean Sailing, first chartering private yachts some years ago, was approached by a large charter firm based mainly in Kos, a Greek Island which acts as the base port for a substantial fleet of its yachts.

As an agent, Aegean Sailing is able to offer charter holidays to its customers, who have the advantage of dealing with a U.K. based organisation, removing the risks of dealing with unknown factors and qualities.

We operate from nine Greek islands, with the main base in Kos. For those who know their vessels, a choice may be made from the list shown on this site. Otherwise it is a simple matter of filling in the e-mail form with an enquiry for quotation.

You should in the latter case simply state whether you want a skipper for your holiday, how many people you wish to take, the weeks you wish to be on holiday, (Saturday to Saturday) and whether you would prefer a single hull vessel or a catamaran. You might also state a preference for the region in which you wish to sail.

A price list on the site will give you some idea of what you may expect to pay, and so any enquiry from you, to us, will be a responsible one, although of course, when we contact Greece on your behalf, and reply then to you, there will be no obligation at all for you to proceed onward.

Using an agent to find the right company costs you nothing at all. Our obligation is to make you aware of this important company, and to hand you over to them once we know what you require. Our part is important as a contact point for you, but we will ensure a smooth hand over to the Greek yachting staff, who will answer any final questions that you have.

Taking a yacht to sea in a Mediterranean climate and non-tidal waters can be a great experience and one free of many of the difficulties of sailing at home. However, without hiring a skipper, certain standards are required by the yachts leader. Please give these standards some thought before proceeding, as safety at sea is always enhanced by the correct level of experience.
